Equipment Manufacturer Expands Its Vision to Enhance Environment

Atlanta, Georgia (October 8, 2003) – Heavy equipment manufacturer Hartl Crushtek has recently begun a quiet, yet forceful expansion that will have far-reaching impact on natural resources and life around the globe.

Crushtek's current success is the result of one man's determination. A former US distributor for Austrian manufacturer Hartl Crushtek GmbH, Johann Schmidt, now owner and president of the new Georgia-based Hartl Crushtek New Technologies, took immediate action to buy the equipment manufacturer when its owners filed bankruptcy. That was over three years ago. Schmidt's passion for his work embodies all that we love about the entrepreneurial spirit.

Already well-known and respected in the construction and demolition industries, Crushtek manufactures and distributes mobile crushing, screening, and sorting equipment that processes any type of solid debris; easily turning it into recyclable materials. They were a key supplier of machinery for the largest concrete recycling project in the world—the deconstruction of the former Stapleton Airport in Colorado.

"Long used to help clear construction sites, it's only natural that we should now offer our machines to the waste handling and recycling industry," said Schmidt. "We provide a better way to preserve the land, recycle waste, and save the land for positive growth, not landfills," he said.

To help Crushtek meet its new challenge, several staff members have recently joined the Norcross-based world headquarters.

Dave Wicking, Vice President
Mike Vigil, Sales Director
Paul Van Klaveren, International Marketing Director
Sharise Cunningham, Marketing Coordinator

"Our team's mission is to be a part of the socially responsible movement toward environmentally-conscious building, preservation and recycling," Vigil says. "You'll see more evidence of that as we enter 2004."

Come meet the man and his machines at the North American Quarry Show from October 31, 2003 through November 2, 2003 at the Georgia International Convention Center in College Park, GA. Show times are 8:00am – 3:00 pm each day and will feature a live equipment display, crusher demonstrations, and entertainment.
